With a slight alteration this feeding device is excellent to use for children with a cleft lip and palate after surgery. Just simply cut the tube so that it is about 1" long and just place the tube slighty into the child's mouth to feed (not with your finger as pictured). Use when syringe feeding is recommended. The advantages of this bottle is that it is super soft and very easily squeezed with very minimal pressure. The valve on the end expels the air as you squeeze and it is not drawn back up through the fluid. It is not necessary to try to totally collapse this bottle to expel all of the fluid. Barely squeeze to expel the fluid, then simple release and slightly squeeze again. Your hand will not cramp or tire.Fluid flow is very controlled.
